The earthquake rolled across the land
The seismic activity was strong enough to see
And constructions swayed to and fro
Rocked like a boat

And it beget distress among the citizens
Who were slingshotted into the air like from a catapult in a dare
But who forgets a net when the stakes are so high?

The people were not prepared
The government was not prepared
The natural disaster was a surprise

And everybody suffered, nobody planned
To organize a contingency was expensive and unrealistic you see
And anyways who has the time

The earthquake flapped like a trampoline
And left the earth rumpled like a magazine
And dug itself a spot in our history
