Yellow gleams the moon, moon looming gently
I ventured from my safehouse
With cautious stepping

I smell the moist night with my damp nose
And see the shadows clearly
But suddenly -

Is someone out there lurking?
Noone can escape my patient stare
You close in, time to scamper out

Made it to the side yard scurrying on the fence
I've got the nimbleness of a gymnast on the balance beam I’m best
I hop onto the roof and in a flash I'm back in my room

Back at the house I find a spot to sit
That’s soft and warm with mommy scents
And tuck my fur in it
My head tilts a bit and my thoughts start to drift
My tail saunters back and forth and my eyes: two little slits
