Songs below ground was written mainly on a keyboard in music technology labs at Georgia Tech. I always wanted to do a collection of piano solo pieces - I started the idea in high school, but it never quite came together. These were written at a time when I was too busy to really keep music together (guitar, singing, and piano is a lot to consistently keep up), but occasionally found time to bang on a piano.

I wanted the piano to have a live feel, so each song is a single take (no editing takes together; I did attempt many failed takes during recording).
